PEABODY, MA, USA (September 17, 2004) — Analogic Corporation (NASDAQ: ALOG) today announced the formal release to market of the LIFEGARD™ ICG Patient Monitor.
The LIFEGARD ICG provides continuous cardiac output by measuring the ICG (impedance cardiogram) to calculate cardiac output. The monitor displays twelve additional direct and derived hemodynamic parameters plus non-invasive blood pressure (NIBP) and heart rate. It also displays both the ECG and ICG waveforms on a bright color display. Parameters and trends are color coded to aid in visibility and identification. To facilitate application and confirm signal accuracy, the LIFEGARD ICG patient monitor includes a multi-function, color-coded, signal- quality indicator; a special patient cable; and unique electrodes.
Weighing less than five pounds, the LIFEGARD ICG operates on battery power for up to two hours or on AC power. This provides added versatility in Emergency Department or Operating Room environments. A built-in, strip-chart printer provides complete documentation for all waveforms, data, and tabular or graphical trends, as well as patient name, ID number, time, and date.
