We develop and manufacture flat-panel, direct conversion digital detectors used by major medical OEMs in mammography systems. Our amorphous selenium technology enables the highest quality radiographic images available.
Our flat-panel, direct conversion digital detectors capture image data directly onto a patented detector made with a layer of amorphous selenium deposited onto a thin-film transistor array. Images of the breast are more precise and more supportive of correct diagnosis without burdening the patient. Our amorphous selenium technology enables the highest quality radiographic images available and faster patient throughput. Patients with positive diagnoses have greater access to early cancer treatments when the prognosis is much more favorable.

Direct Conversion technology detector enables efficient detection of X-Ray resulting in lower dose radiation
Where film mammography struggled, digital breast tomosynthesis uses digital cameras with lower radiation doses for early detection of breast cancer. High-risk patients are more supported, and new technology makes cancer detection more widely available.
Breast cancer detection is a critical component of women’s health care and for a good reason. Traditional mammograms are uncomfortable, and cancer detection within dense breast tissue is particularly complicated and full of false positives. Improving digital images for breast cancer screenings is vital in catching breast cancer early when the consequences are lower, and the treatments are more effective. With technology supporting digital mammograms and 3D mammography, Analogic is leading the way for women’s health care.
